Room Overview
Welcome to the Room Overview section of the ProAV Support Documentation. Here, you will find detailed information about the various rooms equipped with advanced AV systems at MxD and Siemens. Each room is designed to facilitate collaboration, presentations, and training sessions, ensuring a seamless experience for all users.
Best Practices
1. Always use the wireless dongle / WPP30 for simple AV needs.
2. Use multiple dongles rather than swapping dongles during the meeting or presentation. Utilize the share button on the dongle to take priority of the shared display.
3. Prep you AV system before the meeting. Get a game plan for device switching and practice.
Available Rooms
1. Shop Floor
The Shop Floor is designed for collaborative work and presentations. It features a state-of-the-art AV system that supports both in-person and remote participants.
2. Workshop
The Workshop is equipped with a modern AV setup tailored for hands-on training and workshops. It provides high-quality audio and visual support to enhance learning experiences.
3. Design & Optimize Room
This room is dedicated to design reviews and optimization sessions. It features advanced AV technology to support detailed presentations and discussions.
4. Large Office
The Large Office is designed for team meetings and client presentations. It offers a professional environment with high-quality AV equipment.
5. Requirements Room
The Requirements Room is used for project planning and requirements gathering sessions. It is equipped with tools to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
Terminology
1. Teams System / Yealink
Yealink MCore is the computer hardware that runs teams
2. Room Scheduler
Yealink RoomPanelPlus - lives outside of the meeting rooms and will show upcoming meetings in the room.
3. Mtouch / Touch Panel / Control Panel
Yealink MTouchPlus panel - this is connected directly to the MCore running teams via a ethernet cable with POE.
4. Wireless Dongle / Puck
Yealink WPP30 wireless device that is paired with the MTouchPlus panel in the room. This is used to wirelessly share your computers screen to the in room displays
5. Encoder / Decoder
AV System hardware. Encoders are visible components at the tables & decoders are hidden behind displays. They are used to hard wire share your screen content to the displays.
6. BYOD
